MORE HYPOCRISY

Today’s theme is hypocrisy.  Not because I planned it that way, but because there is so much of it to talk about.

Earlier, I talked about left wing rich guy George Clooney’s ridiculous whining about big-money in politics, as he hosted a Hillary Clinton event for a tariff of $33,400 a person…with people who raised an additional $353,000 getting to sit at the head table.

Well, not to be upstaged, Bernie Sanders supporters decided to call the Clinton people out by tossing dollar bills at them when they got to Clooney’s driveway, while the strains of the depression era standard, “We’re In The Money”  played on a loudspeaker.

The problem?  Their operating base was the house of the left wing rich guy who lives next door.

Excerpted from an article at the web site for CBS – Los Angeles:

Protesters threw dollar bills at Hillary Clinton’s motorcade Saturday as it approached the Studio City home of actor George Clooney, the site of a $33,400 per person fundraiser for her presidential campaign.

The price was based on the $33,400 maximum amount an individual can contribute to a national party committee in a year.

Individuals contributing and raising a total of $353,400 got two seats at the head table with Clinton and Clooney, the Oscar-winning actor andproducer, and his wife Amal, an attorney.

Howard Gold, a neighbor of Clooney, hosted a $27 per person fundraiser in support of Sanders, Clinton’s rival for the Democratic nomination, according to The Hill.

Gold, whose family founded the 99 Cents Only store chain, dubbed his event the “99% Party,” The Hill reported.

The email invitation to the party read, “Swimming pools, Movie Stars and merriment for all! This is happening right next door to Clooney’s party for Hillary!” according to The Hill.

You’ve got to love this.  Two rich left wing guys competing to “prove” their credentials in the rich-as-Croesus section of Studio City.

Tell me:  What do you figure media would do with this if it were two rich right wing guys in the same neighborhood, doing the same thing, with one a Trump supporter and one a Cruz supporter?  Do you think they would be writing about this as dispassionately, as benignly?

Let me know when you stop laughing.  Thanks.
