It looks more and more like ilhan omar – real name, apparently, Ilhan Nur Said Elmi – is going to get nailed for a history of lying and cheating to get as much as she can for herself, while hiding behind the “I’m a persecuted Muslim ruse that, until now, has kept her from being held to account.
But maybe not so much longer.
One of the charges against AKA ilhan omar is that her real name is she married her own brother to get him a green card.
Yesterday, while being interviewed by MS NOW’s left wing-friendly Chris Hayes, she was asked about this. Hayes asked if there was a “weird kernel of truth” to that claim – a straight-up “yes” or “no” question.
omar/elmi’s answer? “Not to my knowledge”.
Not to my knowledge?????? That’s supposed to be an answer? What would you – or anyone with at least an ounce of intelligence – conclude from that non-answer?
Then there is AKA omar’s income tax filing which claimed she and her political consultant husband (her third one, if the elmi story is true) were worth up to $30 million dollars…and then, when challenged, revising the estimate down to about $95,000 – and claiming that the difference was “an accounting error” (David Manuel’s article provides the specifics). You’re supposed to believe that.
And there appears to be plenty more besides. I urge you to read Victor Nava’s article at the New York Post. Read chapter and verse of what AKA omar is all about; what she seems to have gotten away with all these years, and see for yourself.
Oh, did I forget to mention her current political consultant husband, who she funneled millions of campaign dollars to for his, er, services? And the fact that his winery, which was supposed to be worth millions, had to be shut down due to fraud?
The obvious conclusion here is that you would literally have to be brain dead to believe a word AKA ilhan omar says about anything.
So what happens next? That is up to the Department Of Justice (DOJ). And, unless something decisive happens before the year is up, it is also up to the voters. Why? Because if they put a Democrat-controlled House and Senate in place next month, it’s an excellent bet all this is going to disappear the minute they take office in January…
…which, I assume, means Republicans will be pushing as hard as they can to move the omar/elmi issue forward ASAP.
More on this as it develops. And believe me, it will.
