There are reports that, today, President Obama has endorsed Mary Landrieu\’s re-election bid in Louisiana.
Here, from huffingtonpost.com are the last five polls of President Obama\’s approval rating in Louisiana:
-Rasmussen (11/16-19): Approve 40%, disapprove 58%. Difference: -18%
-Vox Populi (11/16-17): Approve 38%, disapprove 61%: Difference -23%
-Gravis Mktg (11/12-14): Approve 33%, disapprove 61%: Difference -28%
-Magellen (11/12 – one day): Approve 32%, disapprove 62%: Difference -30%
-PPP (10/30 – 11/1): Approve 36%, disapprove 56%: Difference -20%
Call me a pessimist, but I can\’t help thinking that Senator Landrieu probably could have done without Mr. Obama\’s support.
If there is such a thing as a final nail in her senatorial coffin, this endorsement would be the one.
