RACHEL MADDOW: ANOTHER REASON WHY MSNBC HAS BECOME WORTHLESS AS A NEWS SOURCE

There are a great many things I could post under this title.  But one particular example is jumping out at me.

Here is the title MSNBC bestowed upon the video of rachel maddow’s snarky and smirky (her personal default status) segment in which she attacks Elon Musk, Tesla and President Trump:

Musk deploys squandered credibility in desperate bid to hold ailing Tesla together

Rachel Maddow rounds up reports on the struggles Elon Musk’s car company is suffering through while he spends his time enraging Americans by butchering the federal government for Donald Trump. Unfortunately for Musk, the internet has preserved so many of his past failed predictions that the reassurances he offers Tesla staff about the future ring hollow.

See, this isn’t related in any way to the fact that an obviously coordinated national attack on Tesla dealerships, and individual attacks (some of which I suspect are also part of this coordinated effort) on individual Tesla vehicles isn’t the problem.  It’s that Tesla is “ailing”.

In fact, not once during the 6:49 segment is anything about the domestic terrorism being waged against Tesla even mentioned.  Not once. In rachel maddow’s world that’s not important enough to waste time on.

Then there is maddow’s triumphant insertion of several video clips showing Musk predicting – not stating as a fact, but predicting – “I think we’re still on track…” – the use of driverless vehicles (he was right about that, but off in the timing), and that, in 2024, people might be transported to Mars and back (he didn’t say it would definitely happen, he said it would happen “if things go according to plan”…which they obviously did not).

This is supposed to prove Elon Musk isn’t always right when he predicts what might happen in the future?  Congratulations, Rachel.  You nailed it.  Now, what about it?  Do your predictions all come true?  Do you know of anyone whose predictions all come true?  You might want to think about that.

Moving on, I was particularly intrigued by maddow’s sarcastic comment after showing the 2017 clip of Musk predicting driverless cars, and being applauded by the audience.

“Imagine, if you, like, imagine if you were in the audience in that event, looking back now at 2025 and realizing that you might have been one of the people who applauded that?  (maddow breaks into a forced fit of laughter)  “Did you buy stock too?”

Uh, rachel…

if you bought stock in Tesla then, you wouldn’t be crying.  You’d be laughing,  For real, not that phony laugh you effected.   And you’d be laughing all the way to the bank.

You see, rachel, in mid 2017, Tesla stock stood at about $22 a share.  And today, even after the campaign of domestic terrorism  aimed at taking the company down through arson, vandalism and criminal intimidation – the domestic terrorism that you somehow forgot to mention during your diatribe – the stock is at $248.  That is over 11 times as high as it was when Mr Musk made those comments.

Don’t you wish YOU bought stock on that day?

I could go on, but I think the message is pretty clear.

rachel maddow may be seen as the “star” of MSNBC (she gets paid a ton more than any other show host).  And this is what they get for their money???

Do yourself a favor and skip her show.  Watch The Cartoon Channel instead.  It’s about as informative, and the laughing is more sincere.
