HYUNDAI’S $21 BILLION

On Saturday I wrote a blog with the title, “AS TRUMP’S ENEMIES KEEP TELLING YOU THE TARIFFS ARE HURTING OUR ECONOMY…”.

It listed out a number of companies that, largely due to the economics created by those tariffs have decided to manufacture in the United States instead of outside the country.

Today we got another one.

From Seema Mody’s article for cnbc:

  • South Korean conglomerate Hyundai on Monday announced a roughly $21 billion investment in U.S. onshoring.
  • A new steel plant in Louisiana, which is part of the investment, is set to hire more than 1,400 employees and will produce next-generation steel that will be used by Hyundai’s two U.S. auto plants to manufacture electric vehicles.

Yep, the tariffs sure are a disaster…
