Here, fresh from Hillary-2016 Campaign Headquarters…er, the “politifact.com wing of the liberal/left Tampa Bay Tribune, is its carefully thought out, 100% neutral (just ask them) conclusion on whether Hillary Clinton ever sent or received classified information on her personal server:
Our ruling
Clinton said, “I never received nor sent any material that was marked classified.”
One of the principles of PolitiFact is not only to judge the facts behind a claim, but to investigate whether a statement leaves a particular impression that may be misleading.
Clinton is focusing on a technical aspect of the government chain of classification, that information contained within her private email server wasn’t “marked” classified. There is no evidence Clinton knowingly sent or received classified information.
But the government classification system is complicated, and Clinton fails to acknowledge that classified information could have moved through her email server without a proper label. Part of the problem is Clinton’s private server itself, because only she and her team know what was in the emails she deleted.
We rate her claim Half True.
No evidence?
What about the fact that, as chief foreign officer of the United States, a Secretary of State, as a matter of course, sends and receives classified information virtually every day, whether or not it is specifically stamped “Classified” at the time? Hillary Clinton was unaware of that?
What about the fact that she lied about this every step of the way – starting with her 100% debunked lie that she used the personal server only because, as a matter of convenience, she wanted a single smart phone (she had two of them, and a tablet as well)?
What about the 2,200 emails found that were determined to contain classified material. Hillary Clinton looked at over 2,000 emails with classified material and wasn’t intelligent enough to figure out it was there?
What about the 30,000 emails she deleted? There’s no reason to suspect they contained something other than pictures of her grandchildren and her yoga class schedule?
Whenever I see an “analysis” from self-appointed judgmental web sites like politifact.com, or factcheck.com – both spawned from Democrat-friendly sources that can rationalize everything Democrat at the drop of a hat – I laugh.
Then I think about the fact that there are suckers out there who believe that, because a name like “politifact”, which suggests highmindedness and neutrality, is used, the information must be accurate…
…and I stop laughing. Because it is no laughing matter.
Oh, one other thing: what is this “Our Ruling” crap? Who, besides itself, sanctioned politifact to “rule” on anything? That’s “Our Conclusion” or “Our Opinion”, guys. Not “Our Ruling”.
Get over yourselves.
