Did the makers of “Weiner”, a documentary about Anthony Weiner and his Muslim wife, Huma Abedin, whose family is steeped in the Muslim Brotherhood…and who has been Hillary Clinton\’s very closest confidante for years….intentionally cut out parts that reflected badly on Ms. Clinton?
Distributors who saw the film before Sundance Selects andShowtime partnered to acquire it say the footage is explosive and potentiallydamaging to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton (Abedin is Clinton\’s closestadviser and a fixture on the campaign trail). Multiple parties who viewed earlycuts of the documentary say Clinton\’s team is seen trying to pressure Abedin toimmediately cut ties with Weiner, fearing the scandal will hurt the secretaryof state\’s bid for the White House. (Abedin, who has become something of anobsession for the far right, remains married to Weiner and has a son with him.)The footage is said to offer the kind of rare window into the cutthroatmachinations of a presidential campaign that is typically reserved for suchfictitious shows as House of Cards.
But (Josh) Kriegman, who served as Weiner\’s chief of staff for yearsbefore becoming a filmmaker, denies that Clinton\’s team appears in thedocumentary, raising the question of whether it has been edited to expunge anyfodder for the Republican Party.
Multiple parties saw the footage of Clinton\’s team trying to pressure Abedin to cut ties with Weiner….but Josh Kriegman says they didn\’t see what they saw with their own eyes.
Hmmmmm…..yeah, OK.
Anyone taking bets on who Kreigman is voting for this year?
Between this intentional doctoring of the documentary and RNC Chair/former Hillary Clinton co-chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz\’s intentional consigning of Democrat debates to time slots where they would receive the lowest viewership (when she was safely ahead of Sanders), you\’ll pardon me if I detect a tiny little hint of stacking the deck in Ms. Clinton\’s favor.
In short, exactly the kind of crap I, or anyone who has followed Hillary Clinton\’s career, would expect.
And there is no reason at all to assume she won\’t continue playing the same way. Some folks are very, very comfortable in a sandbox, getting nice and dirty.
