A number of rightward web sites are buzzing with the “news” that john russell “rusty” houser, the lunatic who shot up that Louisiana movie theater, was an Obama supporter.
Their evidence, if you want to call it that, is a screed that houser wrote two years ago in which he said of Mr. Obama that:
“I was for his re-election. I like his spending habits.etc”
Looks pretty clear, doesn\’t it?
Well now let\’s add in a little more of what houser wrote, and see the actual context of those words:
Here is something that is truly funny: since I accepted this it came to me that the president is doing exactly what Tim McVeigh did,only the president is much more effective.The way I see it,the faster he wrecks this nation, which in no way resembles what it\’s founders envisioned,the faster working people with morals may re-assume command.ie I was for his re-election. Hmmmm. Suddenly that doesn\’t look the same as before. Suddenly it becomes clear that houser\’s “support” of President Obama was only in the context that he was damaging the country so badly that maybe it would hasten a major change – a revolution of some kind – in which the country would go back to “what it\’s (sic) founders envisioned”.
And what kind of country do you figure a White supremacist and hitler admirer like houser would have wanted it to be? Anything Barack Obama would be comfortable with?
No, james russell houser was not an Obama supporter – any more than a KKKer would be an al sharpton supporter if he said he liked what sharpton was doing because it made people hate Blacks and maybe help the KKK to rise up again.
Truth is what it is, folks. And when someone takes a few words out of context to connect Barack Obama with this lunatic (I don\’t use that word lightly – he had mental issues and was shunned by his own family) all it accomplishes is the passing along of misinformation and the destruction of that person\’s credibility.
