THE WAR ON WOMEN – CARLY FIORINA\’S COUNTERATTACK

Ken Berwitz

Is there a war on women?

Well, if you\’re a woman who departs from the current leftward orthodoxy, the answer is an emphatic yes.

I could go on and blog about how women with views to the right of the Nancy Pelosi/Debbie Wasserman Schultz/”The View” crowd are absolutely reviled – with virtually nothing to worry about from the same mainstream media which parrot the “War on women” rhetoric as if it were etched in stone.

But I think I\’ll let Carly Fiorina do the talking.

It seems that on Thursday, the women of “The View” – which, whatever it used to be in the past has become little more than a whining left-wing daily hatchet session (maybe it always was), decided to attack Ms. Fiorina for daring to display her heterodoxy as a Republican with some number of conservative views.

One of the whiners commented that, during the debate, Ms. Fiorina looked “demented”.  Another said words to the effect that she hoped it wasn\’t Ms. Fiorina\’s face, it was a Halloween mask.

This, let\’s remember, is the same bunch which has a group apoplexy if one of their crowd is ever judged on the basis of looks.

Anyway, Ms. Fiorina was asked about this on today\’s edition of Fox News Sunday.  Here is some of what she said:

“There is nothing morethreatening to the liberal media in general, and Hillary Clinton in particular, than a conservative woman. So of course there\’s a double standard.

“And conservative women from Sarah Palin to MicheleBachmann to Carly Fiorina are long used to this.  It willnot stop me. It will not scare me and maybe, the ladies of \’The View,\’ if Icome back on again, let\’s see if they have the guts to say that to my face.”

Roberts also askedFiorina if the women of “The View” are “out of touch.”

If Carly Fiorina had stopped right there I would have applauded.  Loudly.  But she was just getting started:

“Well, I think whatthese women represent is a set of liberal feminists who believe that if you donot agree with them on their liberal orthodoxy that you don\’t count, thatsomehow you\’re not a woman.  You see, I know that womenrepresent half the nation, so of course our views are going to be as diverse asmen\’s. I also know that unless and until women\’s potential is fully unlocked inthis country – and women have been crushed under the Obama economy – we willnot be as good a nation as we can be.

“Frankly, I am tiredof being insulted by liberal feminists who talk about women\’s issues when thereality is every issue is a woman\’s issue. From the economy to ISIS to Russiato health care to education to the national debt, women care about all of thatso I am really sorry that I don\’t agree with the women of \’The View.\’ Nevertheless, I\’m going to continue to stand up, stand strong, talk about whatI believe in, and I am Hillary Clinton\’s worst nightmare as a result.”

Good for Ms. Fiorina!!!!!

It is damn well about time these sanctimonious hypocrites got reamed for what they are.  Not that it will mean a thing to any of them, I suspect.  But maybe some women who read Carly Fiorina\’s comments will stop, think about them, then realize just how accurate she is….

….and how small, petty, vicious and self-impressed over nothing the women on “The View”, along with their likeminded counterparts, really are.
