THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Christine Amanpour, a long-time fixture at CNN who, the network seems to think, is some kind of special property.

Here is Ms. Amanpour’s brilliant question to former FBI Director James Comey, about Trump supporters chanting “lock her up” at rallies when Hillary Clinton’s name was mentioned:

“Of course, ‘Lock Her Up’ was a feature of the 2016 Trump campaign. Do you in, retrospect, wish that people like yourself, the head of the FBI, the people in charge of law and order, had shut down that language, that it was dangerous potentially, that it could have created violence, that it kind of is hate speech? Should that have been allowed?”

Wow, what a great moment in CNN history:  asking a former FBI Director – and candidate for indictment if a special counsel is appointed to look into how the fictitious “collusion” scandal was created – if the FBI should have swooped down and prevented people from expressing their feelings about a political candidate.

What would you have had them do, Ms. Amanpour?  Shut down the rally?  Arrest the chanters?  Demand that Donald Trump refuse to speak until they all apologized?

Do you have similar feelings regarding the people – especially the ones on your network – who spent over two years touting non-stop BS about the non-existent “collusion” between Donald Trump and Russia…a BS story that was bought and paid for by Ms. “Lock Her Up”?

I didn’t think so.

I award Christine Amanpour Quote Of The Day “honors”, for asking a question far more relevant to places like Cuba and North Korea than the United States.

Someone, please, get Ms. Amanpour a copy of the first amendment to read, digest and try to understand.  Quick.
