Today\’s quote comes to us from the fabulously wealthy telefraudelist pat robertson.
Here, according to radiofoxnews.com, is what robertson told a viewer who asked what she should say to a coworker who asked her, “Why did God allow my baby to die?”:
“As far as God\’s concerned, he knows the end from the beginning and He sees a little baby and that little baby could grow up to be Adolf Hitler, he could grow up to be Joseph Stalin, he could grow up to be some serial killer, or he could grow up to die of a hideous disease,. God sees all of that, and for that life to be terminated while he\’s a baby, he\’s going to be with God forever in Heaven so it isn\’t a bad thing.”
In other words, lucky you, the kid could have grown up to be a mass murderer or might have died of a hideous disease.
How comforting that must be to a distraught woman who lost her baby.
I wonder what he tells the mothers of children who do grow up to be mass murderers or who die of hideous diseases? That they should chill out, realize that God has a sense of humor and laugh the whole thing off?
I award pat robertson Quote Of The Day honors for showing us – again, as he has so often in the past – why no one with a functioning cerebrum should hand frauds like this a penny, or pay even one second\’s attention to them, other than to learn how rich some people can become by fleecing well meaning but gullible people out of their hard earned money.
