THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote – complete with an accompanying cartoon – comes to us from Javier Milei, the newly-elected President of Argentina (and the first rightward President Argentina has had in decades).

One of the key reasons Milei won is the country’s current inflation rate of 140% (that is NOT a typo).

Here is his opinion of why inflation has soared to this level – previous administrations spending money the country does not have in an effort to eradicate poverty – and what he thinks of the logic of doing so:

JAVIER MILEI IF PRINTING MONEY WOULD END POVERTY, PRINTING DIPLOMAS WOULD END STUPIDITY.

Tell you what:  I don’t know if Javier Milei will be good or bad for Argentina…but he wins Quote Of The Day honors for being both entertaining, and dead-on correct, about spending non-existent money to end inflation.

Now let’s see if he can actually do something about it.
