Today’s quote comes to us from a reliable source for unreliable quotes, President Joe Biden.
In Milwaukee, yesterday, during a campaign stop touting his so-called “Bidenomics” (much more important than heading to Maui, you see, that will have to wait), Biden mentioned last year’s collapsing of the Fern Hollow Bridge in Pittsburgh. He told the crowd:
“Pittsburgh is a city of bridges. More bridges in Pittsburgh than any other city in America,” Biden claimed. “I watched that bridge collapse. I got there and saw it collapse.”
I’m not sure of why President Biden told the crowd about this. But I am 100% sure that it was untrue.
From Gene Puskar and Mark Scolforo’s January 28, 2022 article for the Associated Press:
PITTSBURGH (AP) — A 50-year-old bridge collapsed in Pittsburgh early Friday, requiring rescuers to rappel down a ravine and form a human chain to reach a few occupants of a municipal bus that plummeted along with the span. No deaths were reported.
The collapse came hours before President Joe Biden arrived in the city to promote his $1 trillion infrastructure law, which has earmarked about $1.6 billion for Pennsylvania bridge maintenance.
So, which is it? Is Joe Biden lying about being there for the bridge collapse? Or is he so impaired, so disoriented, so far removed from cognitive competence that he thinks he was there even though he wasn’t?
Help me out here: which of those two possibilities is the good one?
I award Joe Biden Quote Of The Day “honors” for demonstrating, as he does almost every day, that he is unfit to be President of the United States…and that it is a virtual certainty that this presidency is being puppeteered by the people around him; people no one elected.
