SAN FRANCISCO’S “JUSTICE” FOR KATE STEINLE

Do you remember the name Kate Steinle?

On July 1, 2015, Ms. Steinle was walking with her father in San Francisco’s Embarcadero district.  She was fatally shot by an illegal alien, jose inez garcia-zarate, a “man” with a criminal record, who had been deported several times, had been caught again…but was released into the population by San Francisco authorities anyway – in defiance of a request by the Immigration and Customs Authority (ICE) to detain him.

In 2017, a San Francisco jury acquitted garcia-zarate of murder, apparently believing his claim that he found the gun he used to kill Ms. Steinle on the street and it accidentally went off, it the concrete deck of the pier they were on, and ricocheted into her back.

The jury did, however, convict him of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

That charge was overturned on appeal last August, leaving only federal gun charges.

And even that?

Yesterday, garcia-zarate was found incompetent to stand trial on the gun charges.

Now, the issue is whether this illegal alien murderer should be treated at a hospital or at a federal facility.  All at the expense of legal citizens/taxpayers.

Tony Bennett may have left his heart in San Francisco.  But too bad he didn’t leave his brain, because apparently there is a shortage of that organ in what passes for the city’s government and legal system.
