RUSSIA AND THE 2016 ELECTION: A TALE OF TWO SITUATIONS

As you know, Robert Mueller is the Independent Counsel charged with investigating Russia’s influence on the 2016 election.

With that in mind, please read the following, and then I’ll ask you a few questions:

In 2011, a small green-energy company, Joule Unlimited, announced (Donald Trump’s Senior Adviser, Steve) Bannon’s appointment to its board. Months later, Rusnano, a Kremlin-backed investment fund founded by Vladimir Putin, pumped $35 million into Joule. Serving alongside Bannon on Joule’s board were senior Russian official Anatoly Chubais and oligarch Ruben Vardanyan, who has been appointed by Putin to a Russian economic modernization council.

Bannon owned 75,000 shares of Joule stock.

OK, now for those questions:

-Do you agree that this shows a significant association between Steve Bannon and Russia, including Vladimir Putin himself?

-Do you think Steve Bannon’s ties to Russia, to Putin, compromised his position with Donald Trump?  Compromised the advice he gave to Mr. Trump?  May have influenced the way he advised Mr. Trump to run his campaign?

-Do you think Robert Mueller should make this association a key part of his investigation?  After all, Steve Bannon is a major insider with Donald Trump, isn’t he?

I expect the answer would be yes to all of the above.

But wait.  We’re not through yet.  Now let’s try this a different way.

From Paul Mirengoff’s article at powerlineblog.com:

In 2011, a small green-energy company, Joule Unlimited, announced (Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Chairperson, John) Podesta’s appointment to its board. Months later, Rusnano, a Kremlin-backed investment fund founded by Vladimir Putin, pumped $35 million into Joule. Serving alongside Podesta on Joule’s board were senior Russian official Anatoly Chubais and oligarch Ruben Vardanyan, who has been appointed by Putin to a Russian economic modernization council.

Podesta owned 75,000 shares of Joule stock.

Let me ask you the same questions I asked about the first situation:

-Do you agree that this shows a significant association between John Podesta and Russia, including Vladimir Putin himself?

-Do you think John Podesta’s ties to Russia, to Putin, compromised his position with Hillary Clinton?  Compromised the advice he gave to Ms. Clinton?  May have influenced the way he advised Ms. Clinton to run her campaign?

-Do you think Robert Mueller should make this association a key part of his investigation?  After all, Steve Bannon is a major insider with Donald Trump, isn’t he?

I have one more question for you:  one of these two situations is completely fabricated and the other is completely true.  Which do you think is which?

Before answering, please take into account how little you have read about this situation – thus how diligently mainstream media are protecting either Steve Bannon and Donald Trump, or John Podesta and Hillary Clinton.  I think it might help you come to your conclusion.

Have a nice day.
