Today a devastated family will attend the funeral for New York Police Department Officer Brian Moore – along with thousands of other NYPD officers and, no doubt, thousands of other mourners.
Moore, it is virtually certain, was fatally shot by a violent career street thug and ex-con (five years for attempted murder) named demetrius blackwell, who drew a gun and opened fire when Moore and his partner (who, thankfully, was not hit) approached him.
President Obama sent a delegation of three to the funeral of street thug Freddie Gray. How many will he send to Brian Moore\’s funeral?
One member of the three-person delegation for Gray was Broderick Johnson, the Chairperson of President Obama\’s “My Brother\’s Keeper” initiative – a program designed to help young Black males. Young non-Black males who need help need not apply.
President Obama lamented the shooting and killing of Trayvon Martin by telling us “If I had a son he would look like Trayvon”. Has he yet mentioned that his son would look like demetrius blackwell?
al sharpton and assorted other racial hucksters marched and agitated after the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Freddie Gray, all of whom were Black. Have they held any marches for Brian Moore, whose apparent killer is Black?
You want to see a blatant example of real racism? It doesn\’t get more blatant than this.
Oh, one other thing: for anyone who uses this killing to make the case for more gun control laws….the gun demetrius blackwell had was illegally obtained (it was stolen in Georgia four years ago), and illegally used (New York does not issue gun permits to people convicted of violent crimes). So every gun law in place, and every other law that could realistically be enacted, would not have stopped this from happening.
