REAL RACISM (CONT.)

How do you feel about separating children by race, providing one color with an entirely segregated activity while excluding the other entirely…and claiming it is not exclusionary?

Read this excerpt from Eric Owens\’ article at dailycaller.com.  You will not believe your eyes:

Public school officials in South Bend, Ind. are segregating elementary schools students by race and ferrying black students – and only black students – on visits to local colleges.

The students facing racial segregation in America in the year 2015 are third graders at seven elementary schools, reports local ABC affiliate WBND.

School district officials say they do not intend for the taxpayer-funded reenactment of Jim Crow-era race segregation to be discriminatory. Instead, they say, the intent is to inform black students about college because low numbers of black students attend college.

“I want these third graders to have the opportunity to think of themselves as college students,” G. David Moss, director of African-American student and parent services, told WBND.

“We take them to a college campus, have them meet African-American students, modeling the idea that as a black person, college is a great place,” Moss explained.

“It was not meant to be exclusionary,” Moss said. “It was only meant to support and give these kids what they need to think positively about themselves and about their future.”

Is that unbelievable?  The word hardly seems adequate.

Here we have a school “director” who is there to deal exclusively with Black children (we\’re already on racist ground), taking only Black children – no White children allowed – to local colleges to meet with only Black students – no White students involved.  And then telling us “it was not meant to be exclusionary”.

This is supposed to make Black third graders think positively?  That they have to be separated from their White classmates so they can be taught that it would be good to go to college – which White children don\’t have to be taught?  That does wonders for their self-esteem, I\’m sure.

A question:  if both White and Black children went to these colleges, and talked to both Black and White college students, would that make Black children think negatively about themselves?

Put another way, how do you think Black children feel about being singled out this way – given a road trip to tell them that education is good for them, which White children apparently don\’t need?

Whichever “educators” cooked this atrocity up are idiots.  And stone cold racists, whether they think they are or not.

Real Racism.  It comes in all forms from all sources.  No group is immune to it or from it.  Certainly not a bunch of “educators” who think singling out and segregating Black and White third graders is somehow beneficial to them.
