Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy for President – by videotape. She then got into her stealth van and did a 1,000 or so mile drive — for what particular reason I have to say I cannot figure out, since the only publicity it got her seemed to be people scratching their heads the same way I was. Now Ms. Clinton – who is avoiding the press like Dracula avoiding...
For whatever it means to you, I will be blogging for the next several days, but it will be pretty sporadic – not as much as I usually put up. I\’ll explain why afterwards.
In a previous blog I wrote that, whatever else you could say about The Clinton Foundation, it does good charitable work around the world. And that is true….if you ignore the fact that 85% of the money donated to it never gets to the people it is supposed to help. From Sean Davis\’s illuminating – and devastating – article for thefederalist.com, issued on March 2: The...
Yesterday the New York Yankees played the Detroit Tigers in Detroit. It snowed on and off during the game – which was played anyway (the Yankees won 13-4). Today they are playing in the afternoon. The game-time temperature is 33 degrees. Is it just me, or is that the kind of weather you play football in, not baseball? Go Yanks.
On Wednesday, we (well, not necessarily “we”, but “some of us”) celebrated Earth Day. Earth day has been celebrated every year since 1970, by people who are concerned with the environment (including everyday people and activists…as well as extremists and whacko lunatics). The idea of Earth Day is to save us from the horrific consequences of defiling the environment...
The previous blog mourned the death of two aid workers who were held hostage by al-qaeda. But there is other, far more salutary news. A separate strike is said to have killed adam gadahn – who grew up adam pearlman in California, traded in his Jewish upbringing to travel to Afghanistan and become an al-qaeda jihadist, a significant purveyor of propaganda for his murderous, terrorist...
As I type this, President Obama is making a statement about the death of U.S. Dr. Warren Weinstein, and Italian Giovanni Lo Porto, both aid workers held hostage by al-qaeda, who, it was announced today, were killed in mid-January during a failed U. S. counter-intelligence drone strike. I will wait until I learn more before blogging further about this horrible situation. But...
The previous post suggested that the New York Times – the usually Hillary-friendly New York Times – may finally be turning on Hillary Clinton. Well, they ain\’t the only ones. Excerpted from Rosalind S. Helderman\’s article in today\’s Washington Post: Bill Clinton was paid at least $26 million in speaking fees by companies and organizations that are also major...
If Hillary Clinton loses the New York Times — and I am not talking about whether it eventually supports her candidacy but whether it is serious about delving into the scandals swirling up, down and around her – she is in big trouble. I do not know if today’s article, written by Jo Becker and Mike McIntire, suggests that this is happening. It isn’t even in my print...
From David Rutz, writing for the Washington Free Beacon, here is the MSNBC Tax Cheat Show, featuring Joy Ann Reid (about $5,000), Toure Neblett (about $60,000), Melissa Harris-Perry (about $70,000) and al sharpton (my keyboard doesn\’t go that high). Watch and listen as they rail about….uh…….basically themselves.: This, folks, is hypocrisy on steroids. Are you...
Freddie Gray was a young, Black, 25 year old Baltimore man who, on the morning of April 12th, was approached by police. He ran from them, was arrested, and was put in a police van – apparently in perfectly healthy condition. He eventually exited that van with a crushed throat and mostly severed spinal column. Mr. Gray held on to life for a week before dying this...
eric reif is the Democratic National Committee\’s “Senior Email Compaigner”. Using his twitter account he put up a posting for the job of “digital writer”. With a tip of my imaginary hat to Olaf Ekberg at theamericanmirror.com, here is what this genius posted: Notice anything unusual about what you just read? If not, try reading the first letters of...
Apropos of nothing political…. I was just at Honda of Freehold (NJ). Armed with the coupons they sent me, I got an oil change ($19.95) and a tire rotation ($9.95). Total bill, tax included? $31.99. And they threw in a complimentary car wash. I love a good deal. And this was a great one. Ok, back to politics, where the most of the practitioners could use an...
What\’s going on here? We are sending a warship to the Persian Gulf, and so are the Iranians. Excerpted from Adam Kredo\’s article at the Washington Free Beacon: A fleet of Iranian warships arrived near the southern coast ofYemen on Wednesday in a move likely to add greater tension in a developingU.S.-Iranian standoff in the region, according Iranian military leaders. Just days after...
On Monday I blogged about David French\’s devastating piece which detailed the sick, depraved behavior of what amounts to a Democrat brownshirt squad, led by a prosecutor named john chisholm and facilitated by a judge named barbara kluka, which engaged in raids on the homes of people whose one apparent “crime” was supporting Governor Scott Walker. Well, Mr. French has written a...
