Can someone explain to me why the President of the United States would stoop to the level of a deranged lunatic?
kim jung-un is the deranged lunatic; one who has to be dealt with, quickly and surehandedly.
How do we know he’s a deranged lunatic? Because he is making daily threats of visiting a holocaust on the United States, as he rapidly moves toward having the means to do it.
Do we have to do something about this? You’re damn right we do. But it has to be diplomatically as well as – if possible, in place of – militarily.
So what do we make of President Donald Trump telling kim – and the world – that:
“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen”…
“He has been very threatening beyond a normal state and as I said, they will be met with fire and fury and, frankly, power , the likes of which this world has never seen before”.
What kind of insane talk is that?
Did President Trump just threaten to use nuclear weapons against North Korea? OF COURSE he did. How else could that be read?
What does Mr. Trump think that says to China? To Japan? To South Korea?
Funny thing about nuclear weapons. There is no mechanism for preventing them from crossing borders. If you were in any of those countries, especially South Korea, how would you feel about this?
And if you were China, what would you consider doing about it?
Will China now be forced to threaten the USA with nuclear war – which not only is a threat to end the world as we know it – maybe entirely? Even if that doesn’t happen, won’t it force China to North Korea’s side, which is exactly what we don’t want to have happen?
And given the fact that kim jung-un is a deranged lunatic, doesn’t it guarantee a similary belligerent response – which we got hours later, when he threatened an attack on Guam.
Look, I do not want any war anywhere. But I do recognize that something has to be done about North Korea. And I recognize that, decades of trying to reason with this lunatic’s father, and now him, have gotten us nothing but the nuclear threat we have to deal with now.
But the way to do it, quoting Theodore Roosevelt, is with a soft voice and a big stick. We do what we need to do, including military action, without ranting out threats of nuclear holocaust.
Verbally antagonizing someone who is itching for a reason – any reason – to launch those missiles is doing nothing but virtually guaranteeing that such an attack will take place.
What will Mr. Trump tell the the survivors? That he’s sorry he said it that way?

Use our military and send North Korea back to the Stone Age.
. . . . . Oh Wait !
Back to the Stone Age would actually be Economic Assistance.
The only way to deal with North Korea militarily is using nukes.
Any other military way would cause 100’s of thousands deaths in South Korea, Japan and wherever else they can strike.
People better start realizing this.
Trump is making the world face this.
