As pulled from Amber Athey’s article at

“I want us to be very careful, and I want us to be alert to what is happening to avoid war,, and so I think we can do this with some diplomacy.

“I do believe North Korea is interesting threats but I think there are some things they want from us.  And we have to find out whether or not we can work with them on the things that they are asking for.

“This is not the time to go bluffing or threatening.  This is time for diplomacy.”

There you have it.  kim jung-un is in the end stages of becoming a nuclear power and is telling us he intends to obliterate the USA with it.  And Maxine Waters’ idea of a response is…

…a truckload of clichés, with exactly zero in the way of specific actions – other than, generally, suggesting we find out what North Korea wants and see if we can give it to them.

Brilliant.  Just brilliant.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  If I were a Republican strategist I would go to bed every night praying that Maxine Waters – and some of the other similarly “brilliant” Democrats in safe districts – just keep talking.
