Hamasclaimed responsibility for a car ramming terror attack in Jerusalemon Wednesday in which a Palestinian man drove his car intopedestrians, killing a border policeman and injuring more than adozen other people.
TheIslamist terror organization, which rules the Gaza Strip, also calledfor a third intifada in Jerusalem.
Hamasspokesman Mushir al-Masri tweeted a message of support for theattack.
“Wejoin hands with those who avenge the blood of those injured inal-Aqsa,” he wrote, referring to the Temple Mount enclosure.
TheIslamic Jihad terror group described the attack as “heroic” andsaid it was the response of the Palestinian people to continuedattacks on the al-Aqsa Mosque, Israel Radio reported.
Theincident came amid increasing violence in East Jerusalem and on theTemple Mount as security forces clash with Palestinian rioters.
OnWednesday the sitewas briefly closed after Palestinians attacked police with rocksand fireworks. Police dispersed the masked rioters near theMughrabi Gate to the compound with methods including stun grenades, apolice spokesman told The Times of Israel.
IsraelRadio reported that police chased the rioters into the al-AqsaMosque. Police took the rare measure of entering several meters intothe mosque, where they saw a stash of stones, bottles, and Molotovcocktails that the demonstrators had prepared
That\’s right. hamas, those wonderful humanitarians who provoked, incited and proudly take credit for this year\’s conflict which made rubble of Gaza, are just as proudly hailing the brave warrior who….
…drove his car into a group of innocent civilians to kill as many of them as he could.
He didn\’t know who they were, had no idea what they thought of Palestinian Arabs, he only knew that they were easy targets.
And hamas calls this “heroic”.
Too bad he didn\’t hit a maternity ward; they\’d have erected a statue of him in Gaza City\’s main square.
These are the people who the world demands Israel make peace with.
