Hillary Clinton\’s presidential candidacy is sinking like an unlucky Mammoth in the La Brea tar pits. So what does she think will resurrect it?
Here are two examples:
-In Cleveland, on Thursday Clinton said this:
“Now, extreme views about women, we expect that from some of the terrorist groups, we expect that from people who don\’t want to live in the modern world, but it\’s a little hard to take from Republicans who want to be the president of the United States.”
Republicans are equivalent to terrorists? People who kill innocent civilians, the more the merrier?”
-And in Minneapolis, yesterday, she said this:
“I find it the height of irony that a party which espouses small government would want to unleash a massive government effort, which might include national guard and others, to go and literally pull people out of their homes and their workplaces, round them up and, I don\’t know, put them in buses or boxcars, in order to take them across the border.”
Republicans – all of them, regardless of their differences on immigration policy – want to hustle people into boxcars? The way the nazis transported Jews to concentration camps?
This is the height of desperation. And the depth of despicable, depraved attack language.
I would call it beneath Hillary Clinton to say things like this. But I am an honest man, so I can\’t. As we have learned over and over again, it is not beneath Hillary Clinton to say things like this. It is not beneath Hillary Clinton to say or do anything.
The thought that there is a possibility, however much it has diminished, that she could be our next President, makes me sick to my stomach.
