Let\’s do a little supposing:
-Suppose a Black man was accused of a shooting and killing an uarmed young man.
-And suppose White eye-witnesses – a bunch of them – came forth and swore under oath that the Black man killed that young man in cold blood, while he was begging for his life.
-And suppose the autopsy results showed that those eye-witness accounts were absolutely false. Invented. Never happened.
What would you – and every media venue in the country – call those White witnesses? Do the words “racist liars” come to mind?
Now let\’s talk about the grand jury testimony regarding a White police officer, Darren Wilson, shooting and killing a young man named Michael Brown.
Did you know that – as reported by Ben Shapiro in his illuminating piece for townhall.com:
-16 eye-witnesses – all or virtually all Black – testified Michael Brown was shot while his hands were up (the genesis of “Hands up, don\’t shoot”)?
-12 eye-witnesses – all or virtually all Black – testified under oath that Michael Brown was shot in the back?
-And the autopsy results showed that those eye-witness accounts were absolutely false. Invented. Never happened.
What have media called those eye-witnesses?
Have they called them racists? Liars?
Did President Obama say one word about this when he admonished us all about the Michael Brown shooting about mistreatment of minorities by the police with barely a mention of the disproportionate crime rate police deal with in some minority neighborhoods? Or did he give every one of the “eye-witnesses” who lied under oath a complete free pass?
Mr. Shapiro titles his piece “The Real Racist Conspiracy In Ferguson”
He\’s got a point.
