Calvin Broadus is a rap singer who performs using the name Snoop Dogg (formerly Snoop Doggy Dogg).
After Kobe Bryant died, CBS News reporter Gayle King mentioned that he had once been accused of rape.
Broadus/Dogg decided that wasn’t nice, and put out a profanity-saturated attack on her, including the words “back off bitch before we come get you”.
It generated a lot of bad publicity.
So Broadus Dogg put out an instagram statement assuring whoever cares that he didn’t mean his comments about Gayle King as a threat. Some people might even believe it.
The one and only reason I am mentioning this is because of how much media coverage this story got – and how it compares to the coverage of real news that actually means something.
A 58 year old rapper insulting a professional journalist got more coverage in the last few days than, for example, the fact that just about every member of presidential candidate Joe Biden’s family (not just Hunter) has gotten rich off his political power and influence has gotten in the last half year.
In other words, a big fat nothingburger story – what some rap singer said about a journalist (or anything else) – was treated as important news, while a real story about possible political corruption by a major presidential candidate was barely covered at all.
Why? Because most media did not want the public to be aware of the real story? Not while Biden looked like the #1 shot at unseating Trump?
You decide. And then decide what it tells you about the state of our media.

Anyone who doesn’t know about the Biden crime family will never know. They watch the msm and maybe read a newspaper or two and believe they are being told the truth. It isn’t their fault, how many have hours a day to research every story? Some day I believe the First Amendment will not protect media from charges of fraud and other crimes related to lying and cheating people.
