CAN YOU STAND MORE GREAT ECONOMIC NEWS (AND A SARCASTIC COMPARISON)?

If so, keep reading.

Excerpted from Jeff Cox’s article at cnbc.com:

  • Nonfarm payrolls surged 225,000 for the month, well above Wall Street estimates for a 158,000 gain.
  • The unemployment rate ticked higher to 3.6%, but for the right reason as the labor force participation rate increased 0.2 percentage points to 63.4%, matching its highest level since June 2013.
  • Average hourly earnings rose 3.1% over a year ago to $28.44, ahead of estimates for 3% growth.

But…but…none of that means anything.

Why?

Because President Trump called Volodymyr Zelensky and asked if a) he would investigate interference in the 2016 election, and b) if he would do us (US, not ME) s favor and investigate Burisma energy – presumably including Joe Biden’s threat to withhold $1 billion dollars in aid unless the prosecutor investigating Burisma – where his kid was raking in millions for doing nothing other than being his kid – was fired.

That is the hand Democrats played.  How do you figure it’s working out?

  • I would like someone to ask, how many other prosecutors did you have fired before releasing US Aid? Other than in Ukraine.
