A SUCCESS STORY THAT MEDIA SOMEHOW ARE NOT REPORTING

Do you like success stories?  Most people do.

So when the President of the United States has a success story to tell – a very big one, relating directly to one of his major campaign promises – you’d expect media to report it, wouldn’t you?

Well, here’s one – from Anna Giaritelli’s article at the Washington Examiner:

The significant downturn in the number of illegal border crossers between the U.S. and Mexico is “nothing short of miraculous,” National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd said on C-SPAN Monday.

“As far as the Trump administration’s efforts on immigration, this is something they campaigned heavily on,” he said. “At six months, where we are on meeting those promises, we are seeing nothing short of miraculous. If you look at the rhetoric that President Trump has given, it has caused a number of illegal border crossings to go down. We have never seen such a drop that we currently have.”

That certainly reads like a success story to me.  And it is occurring even without the promised wall having been built.

Now you may be wondering why the excerpt I pulled is from the Washington Examiner .  After all, it is obviously big news, so it must be reported by more significant mainstream media, mustn’t it?  Major newspapers, network news websites, those guys, right?

Well it isn’t.

I googled the start of National Border Patrol Council President Judd’s quote, “At six months, where we are on meeting those promises, we are seeing nothing short of miraculous”, and looked at the first three full pages.

It was not on the Washington Post website.  Or New York Times.  Or Los Angeles Times.  Or the network news.  Or…well, I think you get the picture.

Are they this lax when they think the Trump-related news is bad, not good?  You tell me.

But, yes, these are the same people who bristle with indignation if you call them biased.
