On January 6, 2021, thousands descended on Washington D.C. Some of them – quite possibly goaded by plants put there by the allegedly then-compromised FBI – broke the law, did damage to federal property and illegally entered the Capital building (though a good many were proactively let in by security). Some minor damage was done to the building.
For almost five years we have been told this was a Donald Trump-fomented insurrection. It wasn’t, but that has been the left’s – and most mainstream media’s – party line.
Now: would you like to know about a real insurrection?
Here it is, via the following excerpts from Shane Fisher’s article at patriot.tv:
Thousands descended on Mexico City’s Zocalo Square today, their march against rampant cartel violence exploding into clashes with riot police. Demonstrators tore through security fences around the National Palace, dragging officers from their lines and pummeling them with makeshift weapons as tear gas choked the air.
The rally, sparked by the recent assassination of Uruapan Mayor Carlos Manzo, drew a mix of Gen Z activists and older citizens fed up with corruption and unchecked crime. Manzo, gunned down seven times at a public event in Michoacán earlier this month, had openly blasted President Claudia Sheinbaum for weak efforts against the cartels. His death fueled the outrage, with crowds chanting demands for real action against the narco gangs terrorizing communities.
Manzo himself had warned before his murder: “We need greater determination from the president of Mexico. I do not want to be just another mayor on the list of those who have been executed and had their lives taken away from them. … I am very afraid, but I must face it with courage.”
Sheinbaum’s administration faces mounting scrutiny for sticking to a strategy that critics say prioritizes leniency over enforcement, allowing cartels to operate with impunity. Whispers in opposition circles suggest deeper ties between officials and criminal networks, especially in hotspots like Michoacán where rival gangs like Los Viagras and Jalisco New Generation vie for control.
The violence echoes broader failures, with cartels not just dominating Mexico but spilling chaos across the border into the U.S. through drug trafficking and human smuggling.
If that’s not enough for you, watch this video of the crowd pulling a police officer away from the others and pummeling him.
That, folks, is a real insurrection. And given the fact that Mexico seems to be run, more and more completely, by the drug cartels which neither President Scheinbaum nor her predecessors were willing – or even able – to do anything about, it is more than understandable.
Now, try and find video of anything like this on January 6th 2021. Take your time.
