Today’s quote comes to us from USA-hating, Israel-hating, Jew-hating “influencer” (what the %&$^ is “influencer” supposed to mean anyway?) hasan piker.
Here is what piker has to say about the possibility that James Talarico will defeat Republican Ken Paxton and become Texas’ next U.S. Senator:
“Hopefully, after James Talarico wins, we gotta hold him to account. We gotta make sure that he doesn’t become another do-nothing Democrat, business as usual and we gotta keep up that pressure. And we have to remind him that we are the force that backed him early on, and we are the force that allowed him to win this seat of power. If he wants to maintain it, he’s got to play ball.”
Translation: If Talarico wins, we – presumably piker and his similarly USA-hating, Israel-hating, Jew-hating pals own him. And they will be expecting that he acts accordingly.
Personally, despite the polling which shows Talarico slightly ahead, I expect Paxton will win this Senate seat. Political polling data are, to say the least,, not the most accurate predictor of things to come. I remember Ted Cruz’s poll numbers showing him in grave danger of losing his last race for senate (2024), and then winning in a near landslide.
But, that aside, I award hasan piker Quote Of The Day honors for having the honesty to say out loud what it probably would be better off for him to hide; the fact that he and his crowd – with good reason – claim ownership of James Talarico.
