A QUICK QUESTION ABOUT THE ARABS OF ISRAEL

It has been 48 days since hamas attacked Israel and slaughtered 1,200-1,400 civilians.

It has been 47 days since Israel declared (acknowledged the existence of, is more like it) war with hamas and pledged to eradicate it from Gaza.

For the last 47 days Israel has bombed Gaza, destroyed much of its infrastructure and taken control of significant parts of the land.  In the course of doing so Israel has, unavoidably, killed many Gazans, including Gazan civilians.

Israel is comprised 20% of Arabs.  Arabs who, if they were of a mind, could immediately start a civil war in Israel.

But no civil war has started in Israel.  No uprising of any significant dimension – which we know because, if there were, we would have heard about it immediately from the international media.

My quick question:  Why not?

Do you have any answer other than that the 20% Arab population of Israel, if not in love with what is happening in Gaza, is, for the most part, understanding of it?  That they want Israel to prevail over hamas?  That they would rather live freely in Israel than under hamas rule.  And that they wish the end of hamas rule for their Arab counterparts in Gaza as well?

If so, I’d love to hear it.  Because the answers you just read are the only ones I come up with.
