Today’s quote comes to us from Joe Biden’s Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre.
This, incredibly, was her comment regarding the three U.S soldiers who were killed (and at least 34 wounded as well) by a drone at their base in Jordan; a drone that was launched by Iran-backed attackers (no surprise, given that virtually all the attacks in that part of the world emanate from the training and weaponry supplied by Iran):
“What I will say, obviously our deepest condolences go out and our heartfelt condolences go out to the families who lost three brave, three brave, three folks who are military folks, who are brave who are always fighting, who were fighting on behalf of this administration, of the American people.”
Fighting on behalf of WHO????????
Does this genius think the primary purpose of our military is to protect the Biden Administration?
If Jean-Pierre had immediately corrected herself and said something like “Of course the primary mission of our troops is to protect the country, not my boss’s political party” this blog would not be written.
But she didn’t. Her comment, that imbecilic comment which put the Biden administration above the country, stood.
Too bad she didn’t say the truth: that we lost three soldiers because of the Biden administration.
Then, she could continue her uncharacteristic display of honesty by pointing out that three years of funding Iran (ending sanctions, releasing heretofore frozen funds for its use) and no meaningful responses to the 150-200 attacks launched by Iran’s proxies in the past few months, emboldened its murderous leaders to continue, and escalate, the funding/overseeing of attacks which, this time, killed three of our soldiers and wounded dozens more.
I award Karine Jean-Pierre Quote Of The Day (dis)honors for turning even this Biden administration-induced military disaster into a political lie.
