THE PARAGRAPH OF THE DAY

Today\’s Paragraph Of The Day (actually, two small paragraphs compacted into one) comes to us from the brilliant Charles Krauthammer.

Here is his take on what has devolved in to our “deal” with Iran – the one we are supposed to be so happy about; the one that President Obama hopes will stand out as part of his legacy:

Taken together, the catalogue of capitulations is breathtaking: spot inspections, disclosure of previous nuclear activity, gradual sanctions relief, retention of non-nuclear sanctions. What’s left? A surrender document of the kind offered by defeated nations suing for peace. Consider: The strongest military and economic power on earth, backed by the five other major powers, armed with what had been a crushing sanctions regime, is about to sign the worst international agreement in American diplomatic history.

I couldn\’t have said that better.  And, thanks to Mr. Krauthammer, I didn\’t have to, which is why he wins today\’s Paragraph Of The Day honors.

Put another way, his analysis is every bit as intelligent as this imbecilic, cave-in of a “deal” is not.
