Today’s quote comes to us from Tom Perez, who chairs the Democrat National Committee (DNC).
Yesterday, Mr. Perez was on the Spanish-language Univision cable network, being interviewed by Patricia Janiot. Here is what she asked him:
“Mr. Perez, President Trump has achieved something important, especially for Latinos, which is to reduce the unemployment rate to historic lows. How, then, can the Democrats compete with a president that has been beneficial to Latinos on economic matters?”
And here was his response:
“The economic situation in the United States is excellent for the wealthy like Trump, but the economic situation is still bad for our community and that’s why we have to elect Democrats.”
Does that answer have any relevance of any kind? Does it in any way address the question Perez was asked? Does it make any sense to you whatsoever?
Yet this is what the Chairperson of the DNC thinks is salable to Latino people.
Why?
Does he think they will reflexively nod in agreement because a Democrat with a Latino surname said it in Spanish?
I award Tom Perez Quote Of The Day “honors” for his honesty…
…in demonstrating that he considers Latino people a bunch of stupid, ignorant morons.
