WHY IS IT SO HARD TO TRUST MEDIA? A QUICK CHRONOLOGY

Why is it so hard to trust media, especially when it comes to reporting the news?

Here\’s a classic example for you:

-Friday:  John Kerry comes on The Today Show to discuss the nuclear “deal” with Iran.  He informs Matt Lauer and the viewing audience, in a dismissive, even disdainful tone, that there is no problem at all with as much as a 24 day lapse between when an inspection is called for and when it actually takes place, because Iran cannot hide nuclear activity in that short a period of time (a claim that is disputed by others).

-Saturday:  We find out, in an article at timesofisrael.com that, in the words of ali akbar velayati, Supreme Leader khamenei\’s adviser on international affairs, Iran will refuse any inspections at its military sites…”regardless of interpretations by the P5+1 world powers to the contrary”.  In other words, all Iran has to do is declare the places where it is working on nuclear weapons to be military sites and they will not be inspected at all.  Not in 24 days, not in 24 years, never.

-Monday:  I watched most of the first hour of The Today Show.  And, in that time – certainly in the first 20 or 25 minutes – this story went unmentioned.  Not a single word about it.

To review:

-On Friday, the Secretary of State tells Today host Matt Lauer that inspections of Iran\’s nuclear facilities are solidly in place.

-On Saturday, Iran effectively tells us that this is 100% untrue – that John Kerry is full of crap.

-Yet on the very next show, when this should be major news under any circumstances, but also a major scoop for Today, given that Kerry made his remarks on the show………nothing.  Birds chirping, crickets in the distance.  Not one word about it.

Still wondering why it is so hard to trust media?  I would hope not.
