yevgeny prigozhin. Head of “The Wagner Group”, which Russian President/KGB thug vladimir putin was using to kill Ukrainians. The one who turned on putin and was marching on Moscow until, we are told, a deal was struck between the two and prigozhin agreed to (or was consigned to live in) Belarus.

MINSK, July 6 (Reuters) – The mutinous head of Russia’s Wagner group is no longer in Belarus and it is not clear if his fighters will move there, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said on Thursday, raising questions about the deal that ended last month’s revolt.
Lukashenko said on June 27 that Yevgeny Prigozhin had arrived in Belarus as part of the deal that defused the crisis, which had seen the Wagner fighters briefly capture the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don and then march towards Moscow.
But Lukashenko, who brokered the deal, said on Thursday that Prigozhin was now in St Petersburg, Russia’s second city, or may have moved on to Moscow.
“He is not on the territory of Belarus,” Lukashenko told a press conference in Minsk.

PUTIN/PRIGOZHIN: IS IT REALLY OVER?
I’ll make this short and to the point.
We are being told that the insurrection against Russian President vladimir putin, which was implemented by yevgeny prigozhin, head of the Wagner Group – mercenaries who are paid to kill whomever prigozhin tells them to – is over.
We are being told the disposition of this insurrection is that charges filed against prigozhin will be dropped and he will live in Belarus – which some are calling an “exile”. The end.
Two quick reminders:
-vladimir putin is an ex-KGB operative who has no tolerance for dissent of any kind, let alone armed insurrection, and whose enemies very often wind up dead;
-yevgeny prigozhin is a professional mass murderer who has tens of thousands of similarly disposed troops at his disposal who, based on his “profession”, has no tolerance for being told where to go or what to do.
Bottom line: I don’t care what media tell you. Anyone who thinks this is over is living in a dream world.
