WHEN DOES NANCY PELOSI DO SOMETHING…

…besides attack everything President Trump does?

Isn’t she the Speaker of the House of Representatives?  Doesn’t that job entail more than hunkering down in the gourmet kitchen of her mansion and criticizing things she is not doing one single thing to improve in any way?

Hear is her latest uselessness, excerpted from Mariam Khan’s article for ABC News:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned against President Donald Trump‘s actions and rhetoric during the coronavirus public health crisis, insisting that his message could put the U.S. in “further danger.”

“If he continues to predicate the actions that we take on a false premise, then we’re in further danger,” Pelosi said during a wide-ranging interview on “This Week” with ABC News’ Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos.

Pelosi also referred to Trump’s comments at the onset of the crisis, in February, when he told reporters that the novel coronavirus would “disappear” like a “miracle,” and that it “will go away.”

“His earlier delay and denial caused deaths,” Pelosi said. “So it’s very important that we walk the line that is close to evidence, data, science as we go forward, and not a whimsy, magic, hoax of allegations and placing blame instead of taking responsibility.”

“We cannot fight a pandemic, we cannot open up our economy based on falsehoods,” Pelosi added.

“Frankly, I don’t pay that much attention to the president’s tweets against me,” Pelosi told Stephanopoulos. “As I’ve said, he’s a poor leader, he’s always trying to avoid responsibility and assign blame.”

I love that last quote.  What, exactly, has pelosi taken responsibility for?  What hasn’t she assigned blame for?

Has she taken responsibility for her February 24th jaunt through San Francisco’s Chinatown, encouraging people to come on down, walk the streets, go to the restaurants?

How many deaths did that cause, Nancy?  Do you blame yourself for them, the way you blame Trump for how he has handled himself during this crisis?

And where are your suggestions as to what Trump should be doing differently?

I don’t mean the ones you make AFTER the fact, when you can look back and see how things turned out.  An average elementary school student could do that.  I’m asking what your suggestions are BEFORE the fact, so they can be judged the way you judge Trump’s decisions.

And while you’re mulling over that, maybe you could take a few minutes out and facilitate passing the extension of that PPP legislation, so small business owners and their employees might have a fighting chance to stay solvent.

It wouldn’t take very much to accomplish …though I admit it would be slightly more effortful than what you are doing now:  sitting on your butt in front of a refrigerator/freezer worth more than most people’s cars, eating your Jeni’s gourmet ice cream that costs multiples of almost every other brand.

But maybe you should give it a try anyway.  Heck, at the very least it would make what you are doing these days worth a damn.

Who knows?  The change might do you some good.
