Today’s quote comes to us from New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo – a man who, it seems, is on many Democrats’ wish list as the party’s presidential nominee instead of the chronically Joe “chronically befuddled” Biden.
During an interview yesterday, Governor Cuomo – displaying a level of candor that is extremely rare in politics – said the following:
“What the federal government did working with states was a phenomenal accomplishment. We bent the curve. We flattened the curve. Government did it. People did it, but government facilitates people’s actions, right?”
“We had to double the hospital capacity in New York State. That’s what all the experts said. The president brought in the Army Corps of Engineers. They built 2,500 at Javits … It was a phenomenal accomplishment. Close to a thousand people have gone through Javits. Luckily, we didn’t need the 2,500 beds. But all the projections said we did need it and more … so these were just extraordinary efforts and acts of mobilization, and the federal government stepped up and was a great partner, and I’m the first one to say it. We needed help and they were there.”
Andrew Cuomo is a Democrat. Andrew Cuomo, is going to support the Democrat nominee for President. Andrew Cuomo disagrees with President Trump on a multitude of issues.
Knowing the above, common sense tells us that the only reason Governor Cuomo made such a statement – which could have been written, word for word, by the Trump re-election committee – is out of honest appreciation for what Trump & Co. did for his state.
Mr. Cuomo, like his equally partisan-Democrat countperpart in California, Governor Gavin Newsom, was big enough to put politics aside and recognize the remarkable efforts put forth by the administration to fight COVID-19.
In doing so, Governor Cuomo elevates himself far above the usual run of politics…
…and highlights even more vividly the smallness and dishonesty of career hacks like nancy pelosi, adam schiff, Chuck Schumer (who didn’t used to be this way, but now is) and Joe Biden, whose only contribution during the COVID-19 crisis so far has been to attack Trump; to show us why most people hate politicians.
