WHAT MOMMY AND DADDY\’S TUITION IS BUYING

My wife and I have children.  The two best children in existence (though I suspect other parents might say the same about their children as well).

We did not have daughters.  Would have loved to, but it didn\’t happen.

If it did, however, and we sent our daughter to an exceptionally high-rated college which cost over $55,000 a year in tuition and room/board alone, I can assure you we would hope she\’d be capable of something better than this – which I have excerpted from Jordan Bosiljevac\’s opinion piece for the Claremont McKenna College Forum:

It started with “consent is sexy.” But, of course, there was no point in that-it was like saying rape is just bad sex, instead of a felony. Then there was “consent is mandatory.” It was much better, reminding us that sex is consensual, and everything else is rape. But then there was me, after a party, in a man\’s dorm room. And there was “is this ok?” If we are being legal about this, I said \’yes\’-no coercion, no imminent threat of violence, no inebriation (well, not a lot, anyway). But what I want to talk about is what happened before I said yes, who taught me to say yes, why I thought it was better to say yes, and why I really meant \’no.\’

The type of feminism I\’m trying to talk about isn\’t easy to swallow…

I am posting another excerpt below, but I have to stop here and ask:  did that look like the product of $55,000 a year in tuition to you?  Please be honest.

Ok, just a bit more:

For me, and many others like me, consent isn\’t easy. Yes doesn\’t always mean yes, and we misplaced \’no\’ several years ago.

So if consent isn\’t just sexy, quippy slogans on tank tops, or boob-shaped cupcakes, what happens next? First, we have to realize that all oppression is connected, and all rape is racist, classist, ableist, patriarchal, hetero and cissexist. We cannot make consent available to all if we are not simultaneously disrupting these structures. Next, we have to stop trying to squash the variety of experiences of coercion into one “Affirmative Consent” law. We cannot trust the state to defend consent and bodily integrity-not in Baltimore, Ferguson, Los Angeles, or Claremont.

I had to do it.  I had to stop wading through this monument to politically correct, privileged, pampered, whining, whimpering, elitist BS long enough to look up “cissexist” – a word I doubt one in 500 people have ever heard of, let alone know the meaning of…unless they happened to be among the Jordan Bosiljevac set, that is.

From angerisjustified.wordpress.com, I found this:

A cis person is one for whom assigned sex, internal sense of sex, assigned gender and internal sense of gender all match up. So that would be a male-assigned & identified man, or a female-assigned & identified woman, since our culture doesn\’t assign people outside the binary. A person may also be either cissexual or cisgender without necessarily being both, although often the two correlate. Cissexism is prejudice and discrimination against people who are not cis. It is closely related to transhatred, but focusses more on the \’rightness\’ of the cis experience rather than the \’wrongness\’ of the trans experience and is generally used to refer to more subtle prejudice and discrimination against non-cis people than transhatred, which tends to be used to refer to acts of extreme bigotry.

I wonder if Ms. Bosiljevac writes for the angerisjustified web site.  Because this reads about as easily as her opinion piece.

Anyway, I now know what a cissexist is.  It is someone who doesn\’t like transgendered people…either that or a sexist who stutters.

Note to aggrieved little Jordan:  There are serious issues out there.  People are hungry.  People are abused.  People are destitute and hopeless.  People are dying.  In the face of this misery, if your contribution to society is to tell us that yes doesn\’t actually mean yes, then please do us all a favor and stuff it where you don\’t mean yes.

And now a note to mommy and daddy Bosiljevac:  if four years – and damn near a quarter of a million smackers – has resulted in Jordan displaying this level of, er, intelligence, and you have another daughter to educate…

…save yourself well over $200,000 and send her to a community college, where she might learn things that are at least minimally useful to someone besides politically correct, privileged, pampered, whining, whimpering elitists…like the one you blew the quarter mil on.
