There is nothing like New York in the summer!
We headed into the city in the early afternoon.
First to the Neue gallery on 86th and 5th, where we saw Klimt\’s world famous Woman In Gold, along with many of his other works.
Then a walk through Central Park, to Columbus Avenue, down to 77th street, where we had a delightful dinner at Isabella\’s.
Now we are in the plaza at Lincoln Center, to see a live on tape performance of Gounod\’s Romeo and Juliet. And what a crowd there is. Thousands attending, every seat filled, SRO\’s lined up everywhere…..with people of all ages, skin colors and ethnicities, brought together by the common love of music and art.
It doesn\’t get better than this.
