Here\’s a little something to think about regarding whether the Baltimore 6 will be convicted any major criminality in the death of Freddie Gray.
Yesterday, Sean Hannity had a Baltimore police officer on who claims that Freddie Gray\’s autopsy has uncovered both marijuana and heroin in his system.
The officer also states that this was not some random grab of a Black man for no good reason, but that he was arrested for suspicion of drug dealing – hardly a stretch, given that many of Gray\’s 18 arrests were for just that.
Does this source know what he is talking about? At this point it is impossible to say one way or the other.
But if he is right about the pot and heroin, there is an obvious – and entirely plausible – defense that Gray was impaired, thus could have acted irrationally in the police van, which could include attempting to self-inflict injuries.
Given the facts as we currently know them, and all the video footage produced to date, I am searching for a way these officers could be convicted, and not finding it.
No justice, no peace? Uh….no evidence, no convictions.
