TRUMP\’S PRE-BUG-OUT STATEMENT

Ken Berwitz

In case you were wondering, here are Donald Trump\’s verbatim comments prior to announcing, through his people, that he would bug out of Thursday\’s Republican presidential debate on Fox News Channel:

“I told FOX you should give money to the Wounded Warriors. I\’m not a fan of Megyn Kelly. I think she\’s a third-rate reporter, frankly, not good at what she does. They could do a lot better than Megyn Kelly. I\’m going to make a decision with FOX but I probably won\’t bother doing the debate. they picked me as number one. Not only number one, number one by far.

“Probably I won\’t be doing the debate. I\’m going to have something else in Iowa, do something where we raise money for the veterans and the wounded warriors. We\’re going to do something simultaneously with the debate. Most likely I\’m not going to do the debate…

“I don\’t know what games Roger Ailes is playing, but what\’s wrong over there, something\’s wrong. But when they sent out that press release talking about, I said why are these people playing games? Most likely I won\’t be doing the debate.”

Let\’s see:  In 158 words, Trump managed to insult Megyn Kelly three different ways, and say he probably/most likely would not do the debate four different times.  Now there\’s a hard-hitting commentary.

And do not – repeat, do not – be impressed that, instead of being at the debate, Trump will go to an event which benefits our military veterans.  THE ONLY REASON he is going to that event is because the poor little baby\’s wiwoo sensibiwities were bruised by Fox not capitulating to his demand that Megyn Kelly be dumped as a debate moderator.

If Roger Ailes had bowed down to his Donaldness, those veterans would not be seeing Trump. As always, it is all about him and no one/nothing else.

Amazing how so successful and powerful a man can behave like such a sad, frail little boy.

Too bad Freud is not alive today.  He\’d have had a ball analyzing Trump….assuming Trump didn\’t call him a third-rater and refuse to show up for the sessions, that is.
