Would you like to see an example of “Trumpidity” – i.e. stupidity from Donald Trump – in action?
OK. Sadly, that is no problem at all. Here is a tweet he put out yesterday, which shows Trumpidity in all its glory:
“I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt.”
First off, he’s got the wrong guy. Rod Rosenstein, “the man who told me to fire the FBI Director” is not investigating him. Independent Counsel Robert Mueller is.
And, though Mueller’s investigation might include Comey’s firing, it is not the reason for it. Possible obstruction of justice is.
I understand why Donald Trump uses twitter to get his various messages out. He is despised by mainstream media and – understandably – has little trust that they will report what he does objectively.
But, for God sake, if he’s going to tweet, can he know what the bleep he is tweeting? Or if he does know, can he at least look over his tweets – more logically, have two of three trusted aides look them over – to be sure they make some kind of sense?
This is Trumpidity at its finest. And every time Mr. Trump engages in it, he shoots himself in the foot.
It is long past time he realized as much, and acted accordingly.
