THE WARD 8 FOOD PROBLEM

The 8th Ward in Washington D.C. has a problem.

It is that, with a population of about 85,000, it has exactly one supermarket:  Giant.  And Giant may close.

Why?  Forgetting safety issues for employees (not that they aren’t significant, but just to stick with one point), because it is losing hundreds of thousands of dollars a month – not year, but month – to shoplifting.

And who is supposed to be preventing this from happening?  How about matthew m. graves, D.C.’s District Attorney – the guy who refused to bring charges against hunter biden for tax evasion, then contributed to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, and was rewarded by Biden with his appointment to the D.A. position?

Smell the stench?  I bet you do.

So, bottom line, Ward 8 is down to just one major supermarket, and it is teetering on the brink of closing because shoplifters are among the store’s biggest “customers”.  And the Biden-appointed District Attorney is not about to order any crackdown on shoplifting so Giant either continues to lose money or closes down, leaving the ward with no supermarkets at all.

I’ll just bet you heard all about this on ABC, NBC and CBS.  Right?

Yeah, right.
