Why do I strongly suspect that this is going to uncover massive ongoing fraud involving billions and billions of dollars?

Following the uncovering of a massive bribery scandal at USAID, the Small Business Administration (SBA) is ordering a full audit of all government contracting officers who have exercised grant-awarding authority under the agency’s business development program over the last 15 years.
In a letter obtained by Fox News Digital, SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler said the scale of the USAID fraud is a “damning reflection of systemic failures in oversight and accountability.” She further said that the fraud “was not an isolated incident.”
In response, Loeffler instructed Associate Administrator Tre Pennie, who oversees government contracts awarded by SBA, to “act decisively” to crack down on any potential similar abuses in the agency.
Loeffler instructed Pennie to immediately initiate a full-scale audit of the agency’s awarding officers back to 2010.
And how do Democrats feel about this audit?
The move was met with massive protests from Democrats who claimed that cutting USAID would impoverish and harm recipients across the globe.
The problem with these “massive protests”? DOGE is not going after legitimate USAID expenditures. It is going after ridiculous, politically-inspired expenditures, and individuals at USAID (a specific example is noted further on in the article) accepting bribes for sending USAID funds to entities that, just maybe, don’t qualify as actually needing them.
And how much money are we talking about? Well, in 2023, USAID distributed some $40 BILLION in funds.
With that much money in play, why would Democrats object to serious scrutiny of how it is being spent/who it is being given to/etc….other than maybe that they know damn well that this will result in scandal for their side of the aisle?
