THE REPEAL DEBATE

The senate has voted on whether to open a debate to discuss repealing ObamaCare.

The final tally is 50-50:   50 Republicans yea, 2 nay, and all 48 Democrats nay (aren’t they the ones who called Reublicans “the party of no”)?

As I suspect you are aware, when there is a tie the Vice President, as President of the Senate, casts the deciding vote – which, of course, will be yea.

Where will the debate go?  What legisation, if any, will ultimately come out of it?  No one knows for sure.’

But one thing we do know:  the debate will take place.  And the country – assuming media report the debate as it takes place (my fingers are crossed), will hear both sides.

Whatever else happens, the country being exposed to a detailed discussion of what is right and what is wrong about ObamaCare is a good thing.
