THE REAL “WOMEN’S MARCH”

I know at least one mother-daughter pair who traveled to Washington D.C. in January, to attend the “Women’s March”  I think I know a second.

I did not bother trying to convince them that this group’s agenda was far more than simply supporting women.  Being a veteran of futile discussions with people who have been sold bills of goods about this or that, I knew better.

If even the prominence of Jew-hating, shari’a law loving linda sarsour within the organization was not enough, what would be?  All that had to be said was the magic phrase, “abortion rights” – as if this issue were a definition of the women’s rights (FYI: over 40% of women describe themselves as pro-life) – and everything else fell by the wayside.

So off they went, proudly, to celebrate with sarsour and her further-left-than-left cohorts; the ones who would condemn any man who spoke up for what sarsour believes.

You want to try reasoning with that?  Be my guest.

Anyway, it is now months later.  And we have this, taken from Peter Hasson’s article at dailycaller.com:

The Women’s March praised a cop-killing terrorist as a “sign of resistance” on Sunday.

Assata Shakur, whose real name is Joanne Chesimard, has been on the FBI’s Most Wanted list for decades after escaping from a New Jersey prison in 1979, where she was serving out a life sentence for murdering a police officer execution style. Shakur, a wanted terrorist, has become a hero to many on the anti-police left.

Women’s March wished Shakur a happy birthday on Sunday, calling her a “revolutionary” and a “sign of resistance.”

Women’s March wasn’t alone in glorifying Shakur on Sunday.

Black Lives Matter’s New York City chapter held a dance party Sunday night celebrating Shakur, whom the activist group claims “inspired a movement.”

Women’s March has welcomed radical individuals in the past, including convicted felon Donna Hylton, who was convicted of kidnapping a man and torturing him to death.

Hylton was a featured speaker at the Women’s March on Washington, alongside prominent liberals like Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards and CNN commentator Van Jones.

Celebrating cop-killers, along with a racist hate group.  That is the real “Women’s March”.

If this appeals to you, I assume you either were there with them in January or wish you were.

Personally – and I say this as someone who truly believes in gender equality – I wouldn’t touch these people with a ten foot pole.
