For a month now, the media meme has been that Michael Brown was a “gentle giant” who, despite the video surveillance tape of him robbing a store and roughing up the owner/clerk who tried to stop him from leaving without paying, was a “gentle giant” with no criminal record.
That is a very touching story. One which would make the fact that Officer Darren Wilson shot him to death all the more disturbing/infuriating/despicable (feel free to fill in a few adjectives of your own)…..and, of course, racist, since Wilson is White and Brown was Black.
But who is the real Michael Brown. Is this meme accurate, or is it a cover-up?
Well, Charles C. Johnson, who runs gotnews.com, the web site which is suing to get Brown\’s juvenile criminal records released (more on this a little further on), has apparently uncovered Brown\’s Instagram account. And it paints a very different picture than our media and the “usual-suspect” race hustlers – want us to be aware of.
I\’m going to give you just a taste of what you will find there below. But be sure to use the link I\’ve provided to see it all:
You know that picture media uses to show what Michael Brown looked like – the intense young man with headphones on, looking for all the world like an industrious, involved young man?
Well here\’s a picture he himself put up on instagram – in other words, Michael Brown the way he portrayed himself:
A little different, wouldn\’t you say? Anyone want to speculate on what that hand signal means?
And here\’s another:
No need to speculate about this one, is there?
Finally let\’s see what Brown said about himself:
“My hands my ammunition”? How does that square with the claim that Brown was “unarmed” because he did not have a specific weapon on his person? Not very well at all.
And now a question: If gotnews.com, which certainly has far less resources to investigate the Michael Brown killing than network news and major newspapers, can find this material……….how come none of them did?
Or, far worse, is it that they did find it and intentionally buried it, so their ongoing narrative would stay intact…and they wouldn\’t be called the dreaded “r” word – as if being called a racist by sharpton, jackson or holder (yes, I include the Attorney General here) has any meaning anymore.
The bottom line here is that we still do not know for sure what happened during the confrontation between Michael Brown and Darren Wilson. But, if what you just saw is accurate (and I\’m pretty sure it is), what we do know is that media are painting dramatically more salutary picture of Michael Brown than what he really was.
Now, can we see his juvenile records? And if not, why not?
