THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today\’s quote comes to us from columnist Rich Lowry, writing for politico.com.  Here, in his latest piece, is what he has to say about President Obama\’s “leadership”:

“Theborder crisis is of a piece with a broad unraveling of thepresident\’s policy over the past year. His erstwhile spiritualmentor might have put it under the category of \’chickens cominghome to roost.\’

“Headopted the policy of maximum risk in Iraq by pulling out all ourcombat troops, and Sunni jihadis are marching on Baghdad. Hechampioned a vast new health law reliant on the smooth operation ofperhaps the most complex federal website ever, and it\’s still notfunctioning properly. He has systematically ignored the nation\’simmigration laws, and tens of thousands of new illegal immigrants areshowing up at our doorstep.”

I award Rich Lowry Quote Of The Day honors for two reasons.

One is that everything he said in the above quote is spot-on correct.  The other for the restraint he showed in presenting it this benignly – specifically the reference to ObamaCare.

ObamaCare is more than “still not functioning properly”, it is an absolute disaster – an unworkable monstrosity so bad that even with him unilaterally – unconstitutionally – putting off its most damaging elements (the corporate mandates), and even with his Accomplice Media working triple-overtime to cover for him, the huge problems are there to see.

Congratulations, Mr. Lowry.  If only ObamaCare could work the way you write.
