THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Juliette Davis, a former model, now an actress and singer.

It turns out that Ms. Davis,  a political conservative, recently made her political leaning known publicly.

Here, in her own words, is what has happened since:

“Since then I haven’t fared well. My ‘unfriendings’ on social media have been many – from acquaintances and close working associates to good friends – including even my best friend. It is interesting to note that all of them just stopped calling and quietly ‘ghosted’ me, and then later unfriended me.

“Unfriendings aside, the written and very public insults from Hollywood peers on social media and elsewhere have been numerous. I’ve been attacked with obscenities, called a racist, and had one person tell me he hoped I would die.”

Ahhh, yes.  The “liberal” entertainment industry.

I have always known liberality to mean openness and tolerance.  Does what you just read look like either?

Juliette Davis wins Quote Of The Day honors for going public with her unhappy experience…and of demonstrating, again, how egregiously the word “liberal” is misused.
