There’s an old joke about a waiter who goes over to a table of very demanding people at the end of the meal and asks, “So, was anything all right?”
Earlier this week Donald Trump went to Texas, viewed the destruction, then met with the Governor and FEMA officials, among others, to determine what was being done and what should be done going forward.
For this, he was roundly criticized by Democrats and much of the media, for not being more hands-on – i.e. not hugging a few people in shelters, that sort of thing.
(NOTE: these are the same media that had no problem with Barack Obama staying at Martha’s Vinyard last year during the devastating floods that left 11 dead and 40,000 homeless, and continuing his daily golf games).
Trump was back in Texas yesterday. He met with individual victims of the storm, spoke to them and heard their concerns, physically helped out with the distribution of food and supplies…and is now requesting $8.5 billion dollars in aid for the area
I await the ciriticisms of what he did wrong this time. There is no doubt they will be coming.

You forgot he also hugged a few people in shelters.
Maybe things will go back to normal now that the media and his advisers have brought him to heel.
Trump’s new advisers are just great, we will have a “normal” President now.
Trump should have known he couldn’t change anything. And if he didn’t know that then he should never had been elected. He needs to just worry about how he can stuff his pockets by screwing over the American people. You know like the last 4 Presidents.
You have to go along to get along.
