THE USA’S GREATEST ENEMY

Let’s start with two basic descriptions:

White supremacists are racist haters who prejudge people based on the color of their skin.  They are the dregs of the earth.

Media are the people who provide us with news coverage.  Presumably, they are neutral sources of information.

Now, with the above in mind, if you were to ask which of these two groups posed a greater threat to the United States, what do you figure the results would be?

Maybe not 100% White supremacists, but certainly over 90% – probably in the mid to high 90’s, right?

Well, Fox News had a survey conducted – using two research sources, one Republican and one Democrat – in which that actual question was asked.

Here are the results – in total and by party (for those who want to see this click here for the entire survey and go to question 56):

Holy excrement.
-40% of the country considers media a greater threat than racist hatemongers?
-Among non-partisan independents, there is a difference of only 4% – which would be well within the margin of error, thus at statistical parity?
In the absence of knowing how media have performed over recent years, those data would be astonishing.
However, knowing how media have performed, the sad fact is they are not astonishing at all.
If what you just read is accurate, it should be a huge wake-up call for our broadcast and print sources, telling them that their performance is generating horribly low levels of respect.
Too bad there’s almost no chance of that happening.

  • Considering the amount of people that work in media far outnumber the amount of “white nationalists” and they have far greater power than they do, I am surprised only 40% recognize who the true enemy is.
Like Ken says “keep ’em ignorant and you own them”.
